Vertiq signs London’s Hyde & Seek

Vertiq Hospitality Partners has signed a hotel management agreement with Immersive Hospitality Management for London’s Hyde & Seek hotel, which is due to open under the Tribute Portfolio by Marriott brand this Autumn.

The 309-room property, located at 1 Lancaster Gate, will join Vertiq Hospitality Partners’ growing portfolio of properties located in key gateway cities across primary European markets.

The hotel, formerly the Corus Hotel Hyde Park, is undergoing a £42m renovation led by owner MUI Group, Immersive Hospitality Management’s parent company. The project will transform this prominent freehold property into a leading upscale hotel overlooking Hyde Park.

The announcement follows the merger of Cycas Hospitality with its parent company Vertiq Capital to become Vertiq Hospitality Partners, launching a pan-European operating partner business in the hospitality investment space.

Hyde & Seek’s design has been expertly curated by interior designer Goddard Littlefair and Unwin Jones Partnership, who served as the Architects. County Contractors extend the team, with Gardiner & Theobald LLP as project managers.

The design pays tribute to the hotel’s prime location beside Hyde Park, drawing inspiration from the park's natural beauty with greens and blues used throughout to bring a sense of the outside into the property. The interiors will feature elegant symmetry and ornamentation referencing historic styles, honouring the building’s heritage.

Originally a grand row of Victorian townhouses, the white stucco façade recalls the charm of this once aristocratic neighbourhood, which became a hideaway for bohemian characters. Moroccan influences are present throughout, featuring Tadelakt plaster, Zellige-style tiles, marbled ceilings, and ornate lanterns that filter light through delicate patterns.

Catering to the discerning guests and the local neighbourhood’s evolving needs, Hyde & Seek will feature an all- day food and drink concept through various outlets. From afternoon tea, delectable working lunches and exquisite dinners to vibrant cocktails, Hyde & Seek creates a bold and brilliant hub for dining and convivial socialising.

A brand-new addition to the hotel’s beautiful spaces is a light filled, glass roofed courtyard offering flexible co-working spaces, enveloping guests in foliage and greenery inspired by the neighbouring park. In addition, there will be a state-of-the-art gym for resident guests and a studio space designed to attract the hotel’s friends and neighbours.
