Erik is… our Chief Executive Officer at Vertiq Hospitality Partners, responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction, vision and overall operations. With a focus on sustainable growth of Vertiq’s pan-European hotel portfolio, Erik guides the company’s executive team, shaping long-term goals, and ensuring alignment across departments to drive performance and impact for all of Vertiq’s stakeholders. 

Erik has been involved with Vertiq since 2017, serving as a board director, and in early 2025 took on the role of CEO. Erik has extensive experience in hotel investments, both real estate and operational businesses. Previously Erik worked with larger global investors such as Invesco Real Estate and Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing.  

What I value about Vertiq…  the team is made up of diverse individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, all working together to run the best possible hotels for our teams and owners. With a diversified range of experts in hotel investing, development and operational fields, alongside a strategic geographically spread portfolio, Vertiq is well placed to work with many different hotel investors and owners and help them achieve their investment objectives across Europe. 

Steven is… our Chief Financial Officer at Vertiq Hospitality Partners. Steven brings over 15 years of experience across both the real estate and hospitality industry to his role. He oversees the company’s financial strategy, risk management, and capital planning, supporting Vertiq’s continued growth across Europe. Drawing on his extensive background, Steven ensures that every financial decision contributes to long-term value creation for owners and partners.

Philip is… our Chief Operating Officer at Vertiq Hospitality Partners, with operational and commercial responsibility for all Vertiq managed and owned hotels across Europe. 

With a proven track record of driving commercial and operational excellence in the hospitality industry, Philip is known for his inspiring leadership style. He is dedicated to fostering a culture rooted in strong values, a shared purpose, and ambitious goals — all of which contribute to the continued success of our hotels. Philip is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and sits on its London board, and is also an Ambassador for Hospitality Action. Philip is an alumnus of Hotelschool The Hague and has followed 25% of the MBA at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, specialised in Driving Hotel Revenues. 

What I value about Vertiq… Vertiq’s purpose — “to be the one-stop partner for hotel investors, aligning teams, brands and capital to deliver strong financial returns” — fits in perfectly with my own beliefs on how to achieve lasting success in the hotel business. I firmly believe that long-term commercial and satisfaction success is only possible when we build a foundation of engaged, happy teams who, in turn, deliver exceptional service to our guests. I’m proud to be part of a team that’s committed to making this vision a reality. 

Janet is… our Chief People & Culture Officer, responsible for leading our award-winning P&C department and overseeing the recruitment and development of our teams.

With over 40 years of experience working in hotel operations, Janet brings a wealth of industry knowledge to her role. As a former General Manager and Learning & Development specialist, she has a strong understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by our hotel leaders. She was recognised as ‘Leader of the Year 2022’ at the British HR Awards and has also contributed to the many accolades the company has received over the past 10 years.

Janet previously ran her own HR and leadership development company and brings a deep passion for supporting the development and professional growth of all Team members.
